It’s tricky when buying a dehumidifier for the first time, there are several brands and many models to choose from. Two of the best being the DEM10 and DES14 by Delonghi.

Both units have something different to offer and both are suited to different homes and of course there is a matter of price to consider.

The DEM10 is best suited to 1-2 bedroom homes, with moderate condensation problems. 1-2 bedroom homes with servere condensation, would perhaps need to upgrade to the DES14. The DEM10 can extract a maximum of 10 litres of water per day and comes with a 2 litre water tank. The DEM10 can be purchased for around £110.

The DES14 is better suited to 2-3 bedroom homes with moderate to servere condensation problems. The DES14 can extract up to 14 litres of water a day from your home, it also comes with an 8 hour timer and air filter.
